Paolo Maldini made his 1000th appearance for Milan against Parma and he is looking forward to racking up more games.

The Milan legend replaced Marek Jankulovski as his side drew 0-0 with the Crociati and as usual he lived up to his legendary reputation as he kept the opposition at bay.

Maldini hopes he can continue to play until the end of the season and he revealed he looks forward to every game.

“I didn’t think I would play,” said Il Capitano.

“Do I still feel emotions after 1000 games? Yes, of course, there are always novelties, for example I have never come off the bench to start a game for example.

“Now I have a month to enjoy this great adventure and I hope it lasts until May.”

The veteran also had a comment on the evening’s game which ended goal less.

“They were better in the first half. We went forward occasionally but we played better in the second period,” concluded Maldini.

The Rossoneri’s next game is a tricky away trip to the Emirates Stadium in London as they tussle with Arsenal in the Champions League knockout stages.
