Maldini: Eager To Feature Against Juventus

Maldini is used to the big occasion and there is none more greater than when Juventus play Milan...

Milan legend and captain Paolo Maldini is looking forward to the crucial game against Scudetto rivals Juventus on Sunday and he is hoping to play a role.

Both sides are locked level on 30 points as they chase down league leaders Inter.

Maldini has been involved in many a great battle against the Old Lady and he insists the game will, as always, be special.

"We are a very technical team, less physical, for some this could be a problem but we have a positive way of playing," Maldini told Sky Sport Italia.

The captain spoke about Alessandro Del Piero and Ronaldinho and he has heaped praise on the two great names of Calcio.

"If I play against Del Piero then I will be very happy because he is a great guy," added Il Capitano.

"I have seen him train well and I think his secret is hard work and great passion for the game.

"People like Del Piero and [Gianluigi] Buffon stayed when times were tough and they are now enjoying great satisfactions.

"Ronaldinho? He is brought a higher technical level to the team and he is a revelation. He has settled down well and he is getting used to the harder training sessions."

Gennaro Gattuso's season maybe over but his teammate is still thinking of him and he believes the loss will weigh upon the side.

"His absence will be evident and he is so important to us in the team," concluded the stopper.
