Player Ratings: Milan 5-1 Udinese(Goal.com/en)

Milan:

Abbiati – 6.5: Didn’t have all that much to do tonight; however he dealt with everything tremendously well. Made two world class saves to deny D’Agostino on two separate occasions, on 10 minutes, and after 72 minutes from a free kick.

Antonini – 7.0: His glorious passing header set up Pato’s second goal, and Milan’s third after 19 minutes. Worked hard at both ends of the park, and continued his good form this season.

Maldini – 6.5: Solid defensive display by the Milan captain, who didn’t have much to do tonight, however similar to his side’s goal keeper, he dealt with everything that the Bianconeri threw at him.

Kaladze – 6.5: Similar to his partner at the back, a good individual performance in this contest, as he also managed to get forward on more than one occasion.

Favalli – 7.0: Has been criticized for being too old and too slow in the past; however the left back was anything but that tonight, as he set up the first goal of the match, by chipping a glorious ball in towards Pato, after just 4 minutes.

Jankulovski – 7.5: Great performance by the left-back turn midfielder tonight, who played an incredible long ball to Favalli to set up Pato’s first. His fantastic long run set up the fifth and final goal of the match, early in the second half.

Pirlo – 7.5: Went close to scoring for the first time since February in this match, after 65 minutes of play. His ball into the area set up Pato’s second goal, whilst his amazing free kick, which was well saved by Handanovic, led to Seedorf tapping in the fourth.

Seedorf – 7.0: Quiet start by the Dutchman, however he worked his way into it as the match wore on. Was an absolute workhorse in the midfield, and deservedly scored after 43 minutes of play.

Kaka – 8.5: Looked confident and menacing when in possession of the ball, and tested his luck from long range on more than occasion. He scored twice, including an absolute wonder strike after 52 minutes, and was dangerous alongside Pato all match.

Ronaldinho – 6.5: A relatively quiet night by the Brazilian, in comparison to his other team mates anyway. He took a little while to get into the contest, but became more and more influential as the match wore on.

Pato – 9.0: Two goals and an assist in the first 20 minutes of play set up the Rossoneri victory. The young Brazilian played with a real sense of confidence tonight, and he ended the year off in the same fashion he started it in, by scoring at the San Siro. He managed to score four goals in his last three matches, to cap off a wonderful 2008.
