Paolo Maldini Believes Ronaldinho Can Lead Milan To Success

Maldini is confident that the Brazilian will finally prove all of his worth next season following a first year which had its ups and downs.

Rossoneri Legend Paolo Maldini believes that Milan forward Ronaldinho could be the main man to lead the club to success next season now that Kaka has joined Real Madrid.

Ronaldinho’s last season proved to be quite successful in the first part of the year, but as he slipped out of form - and coach Carlo Ancelotti's plans - 2008-09 ended badly.

"Ronaldinho will have many responsibilities next season," declared the now former player to Milan Channel.

"Last year he was not the real leader, and this responsibility can serve him well.

"As for new players, I don’t know the market strategies of Milan.

"With two or three retouches, our team could have been great. By losing Kaka we must now aim for other players and we must see what team will be set up for and left in the hands of Leonardo on July 6 at Milanello."

The Rossoneri fans will be hoping that more quality players will be joining the club this summer as it is highly unlikely that Ronaldinho on his own can carry the team to triumphs next season.
