Player Ratings: AC Milan 3-0 Atalanta (Goal.com/en)

AC MILAN

Abbiati: 7.5- He kept his team in the match for a 30 minute period in the first half when he made three excellent saves to preserve the lead.

Zambrotta: 7.5- Unselfishly cut the ball back to Inzaghi to set him up for his hat-trick.

Maldini: 7.0- The Milan legend was calm, cool and collected at the back and will be delighted that the back four kept a clean sheet.

Senderos: 6.5- He looked stiff and awkward at times and Plasmati gave him all sorts of trouble in the air in the first half before he recovered to have a decent second 45 minutes.

Bonera: 6.5- Put in a solid but unspectacular shift this afternoon. He was never really troubled in the second half

Flamini: 7.0- The French midfielder did a valiant job shutting down Cigarini and also managed to free up space for Beckham and Pirlo to roam forward.

Jankulovski: 7.5- Seems to excel whenever he is given a midfield role and it was his pass that set up Inzaghi for the opening goal of the match.

Pirlo: 7.0- The sleepy-eyed midfielder earned his paycheque with a decent performance in front of the back four today.

Beckham: 8.0- A creative tour de force from the English international today. He pulled the strings in the midfield and his crosses were impeccable.

Inzaghi: 8.5- The former Atalanta striker came back to haunt his old side as he hit the back of the net three times to give Milan a much needed victory. Simply outstanding today.

Pato: 7.0- Might have squandered a few too many chances for his liking but linked up well with Inzaghi and played a great chip over the top of the Atalanta defence to set up Pippo’s second goal.

SUBS: Shevchenko (80”) 6.0, Antonini (84”) NA, Viudez (89”) NA
