Ancelotti: We Must Beat Cagliari

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that tomorrow night’s match with Cagliari at San Siro is a must win game.

Cagliari

The Rossoneri are having a hugely disappointing season, and face a real struggle to qualify for next season’s Champions League as they are currently four points adrift of Fiorentina in fourth place.

“There are still seven games left until the end of the season and to reach the fourth place we need to win because the gap of four points remains,” said Ancelotti.

“However we must think to prepare well, one game at a time, starting from tomorrow against Cagliari.

“Cagliari are a team who are very alive, very dynamic, and recently have been playing very well. They have quick players upfront like Acquafresca and Foggia and their main characteristic is their energy.”

Ronaldinho

In recent days Milan have been heavily linked with a summer move for troubled Barcelona star Ronaldinho.

“Ronaldinho is a great player and the interest of Milan in this player starts off from far away,” Ancelotti explained.

“Right now he is a Barcelona player and the club is evaluating the evolution of his situation. He’s a champion who interests various clubs.”

Maldini

Milan captain and legend Paolo Maldini again revealed today that he was considering putting off his retirement for another season.

“With regards to what Maldini will decide on his career, it’s a decision which must be taken only by him,” Carletto stated.

“He knows that we’re all available for him and that whatever his choice will be, we will welcome it.

“Right now he proved to be more in form than last season. His performance has always been positive and has proven it once again this year by playing as a full-back.”
