Milan To Wear New Shirts For Paolo Maldini's San Siro Farewell Against Roma

The Rossoneri have chosen Maldini's San Siro goodbye to launch their new kit...

Milan will be using Paolo Maldini's final appearance at the San Siro to launch next season's home kit in an attempt to mark the occasion.

The legendary captain will be playing his 901st game for the club when Roma come to town on Sunday. Milan are currently chasing the second Champions League place and they will do it wearing their new 2009/10 season kit.

"It's always an exceptional moment for us when we launch the new strip," vice-president Adriano Galliani told the club's official website.

"It will be even more emotional as it will be the last time we get to admire the number 3 jersey on the day Maldini says goodbye to the San Siro.

"We couldn't have chosen a better day to launch it."

The shirt is not too dissimilar to the current home kit. It has a new white collar and black sleeves, as well as the traditional Rossoneri stripes.
